The carriage house of our South Carolina bed and breakfast, constructed of old Charleston brick and stucco, was originally built as the kitchen and servants' quarters. It was separated from the main house as a safety precaution to contain the spread of accidental cooking fires.
Attached to the main house around the turn of the century, the carriage house of our bed and breakfast in Charleston, SC now contains three guest rooms. The two guest rooms on the ground floor retain the original old Charleston brick walls and open beam ceilings. Up one flight of spiral stairs to a small private balcony, the second floor consists of a two-room suite and private bath.
